The judgment beneath the answer
AI can replicate what we know. It cannot replicate the judgment built through what we've lived.
Same organization. Same systems. Different performance.
The difference is often judgment: how people adapt, build trust, sequence work, and decide when conditions change.
Vero measures human judgment in the AI economy — turning lived experience into evidence of performance when the script disappears. We help frontline employers across industries identify, hire, retain, and advance people based on how they decide, not simply how they look on paper.
15 years
of research across eight sectors
100,000+
workforce outcomes: customer satisfaction, churn, retention, manager escalations, throughput
12 → 97%
twelve judgment patterns capture 97% of the frontline behaviors we observed
40,000+
people on the Vero platform, with an 85% engagement rate
Vero reveals why similar people and locations perform differently. We start with a Decision Insight Report on the roles and regions you choose, then calibrate decision patterns to your priority roles and strongest performers, and apply that signal across hiring, retention and mobility.
No workflow replacement. No heavy integration. No black-box AI.

What's actually broken in hiring right now
Same brand, same training, same systems. Two locations that feel completely different. Here's why, and what no one is measuring.
How we work together
Start with your own numbers
It starts free. You pick the roles and the regions you want to understand, and we walk through your Decision Insight Report together on the very first call.
What's in your free report
Similar ratings. Different judgment underneath.
No internal data, system access or integration is needed to start.
Your baseline
The free report is about your stores or locations—not individual employees. It gives you a baseline Decision Accuracy for each location you choose, so you can see where they stand side by side.
When you work with us, you get the same view for your existing employees. Then we help you find and hire people who think and decide like your top performers, and agree the employee-assessment baseline and measure hiring improvement against it.
Your locations side by side
Why places with similar ratings perform differently, in plain language.
Baseline Decision Accuracy
How consistently each location handles difficult moments well.
Location by location
What's happening, the pattern underneath, and the decisions that separate performance.
Patterns across locations
Where the same judgment gaps show up, and what they cost you.
Your decision maturity
Where your organization stands today and which stage of transformation comes next.
Scope and limits
What the report can tell you about your locations, and what requires employee assessment after engagement.
From a recent report · national retailer
Three stores within 0.3 stars of each other. 29 points apart in Decision Accuracy.
On paper they looked the same. Underneath, the judgment in difficult moments was not. That gap is what the report makes visible.

Your free Decision Insight Report
Free. You choose the roles and the regions or locations. We generate your report and go through it with you live on the call: the results, the underlying decision patterns holding your teams back, and your challenges and goals for the year.
- 02
Your own board
In the second meeting we take one role and build its board with your people, in their own words, so your team knows how to run this themselves.
- 03
The business case
We put the report, your goals and the board together into a business case your leadership can act on.
- 04
Hiring sprint
We hire together. Your first engagement is a 60-day sprint; after that, you can run a 7-day hiring sprint whenever you need one.

What we measure
Twelve capabilities, four underlying forces
Every assessment runs on the same twelve capabilities, grouped under four forces — Judgment, Recovery, Trust, Coherence — so results stay comparable across roles and organizations. Each role draws most heavily on the handful that decide performance in it, and those are expressed in the client's own words.
Problem Solving
What they notice first, what they protect, and what they trade off under constraint.
Decision Quality
Whether their choices hold up once the consequences arrive.
Service Excellence
How they treat the person in front of them when it costs something.
Adaptability
How someone changes approach when conditions move and the plan stops working.
Resilience
Whether decision quality holds when volume, pressure and ambiguity rise.
Learning Agility
How quickly they pick up new tools, systems and expectations.
Communication
How clearly they set expectations and tell people the truth early.
Equity & Inclusion
Whether the people around them get the same access, attention and benefit of the doubt.
Trust in Action
Whether people can rely on what they say they will do.
Collaboration
How they hand off work and keep a team moving in the same direction.
Governance
How they handle rules, standards and the moments nobody is watching.
Career Drive
What they are building toward and how they invest in getting there.
One decision, start to finish
What a manager actually sees
An illustrative example. Real situations are built with each client, in their language.
- 01
The situation
Saturday rush. Two associates called out, the print counter is backed up, and a regular customer is upset that a rush order isn't ready.
- 02
What the person did
Noticed the backed-up counter first, moved one associate there, spoke to the customer directly with a realistic time, and let shelf recovery wait until the rush passed.
- 03
What it shows
They read the shift before acting, protected the customer and their team over the task list, and were honest about the trade-off instead of over-promising.
- 04
What the manager gets
What the evidence supports, what still needs checking — such as how they hold up when the rush lasts all day — and the next question to ask in the interview.
Then the loop closes
What happens next — who stays, who grows, how customers respond — feeds back into the framework. Most assessments produce a score and stop. Vero keeps learning what good judgment looks like in your organization.
Why Vero exists
The people best equipped for what comes next may be the ones our systems fail to see.
As a Haitian-American and Cambridge-trained economist, I founded Vero after seeing extraordinary people in Haiti overlooked because their lived experience was invisible on a résumé. That led me to one uncomfortable truth: the conditions of work are changing, but we still judge human capability using evidence from the world we're leaving behind.
In the AI economy, only lived experience compounds. I call the judgment, adaptability, agency and resilience it builds Lived Capital™.

Proof at work
Schools are employers. We already deploy their frontline workforce.
Every day, school districts in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach rely on Jump Start Tutoring to recruit, assess, prepare and deploy tutors, a frontline workforce working beside teachers and students. Vero is already in use inside that work today. Jump Start and Vero are one system: Jump Start deploys the people, Vero measures the judgment that makes them effective.
Jump Start · one system
A living capability environment
Tutors are hired, prepared and deployed into real classrooms, where capability is developed, applied and validated through student outcomes every week. It starts in schools.
Vero · one system
The measurement system that travels
Vero measures the judgment, adaptability and trust behind that work and turns it into evidence. The same system grows across retail, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, hospitality and services.

“I highly recommend Jump Start Tutoring for any district, school system, or organization seeking a reliable, well-prepared, and student-focused tutoring partner.”
Tutors documented the decisions being made while learning was happening — what they noticed, how they adapted, what came next. Vero measured that judgment as it happened. These results come from the same system we bring to your teams.
School performance is shaped by many people and factors; Jump Start and Vero were one part of that work. Observed implementation data, not proof of single cause. See Jump Start →
Schools are our starting point, not our ceiling. The same architecture extends across education, retail, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, hospitality and services. Evidence generated here strengthens a decision layer for frontline work everywhere.
Coming in 2027: the Florida Lived Experience Expo, where employers hire people for the capabilities built through lived experience.
Our vision: a global standard that makes human capacity visible alongside GDP.
